Happy Halloween

October Night

A spooky old tree, some grass, a pumpkin patch, and some head stones near a spiky fence make up my October Night pumpkin scape (seen above).  And these guys were carved by my lovely assistant after I took a Sharpee to them (seen below.)

Luck of the Draw

Kellan is one of those artists that makes me just wanna quit. He has this very awesome "Rocky & Bullwinkle" & "Dudley Do-Right" type style I really enjoy. With this in mind I choose to recreate this Dudley Do-Right scene using Kellan as the three human characters.

Meeting Brian O'Halloran

Today I played photographer for the Powerhouse crew as we drew head shots from the animated series of "Clerks" along side Dante himself, Mr. Brian O'Halloran. We had a great time and you can check out the pics I took on the Powerhouse Blog.

Meeting Kris Pearn

Today I was fortunate enough to attend PHA university's story boarding session, where I met the amazing Kris Pearn. The way he brings life to his boards (both visually with his artistic abilities, and audibly when presenting) was something I aspire to achieve. He was not only talented but also a down to earth guy I enjoyed listening to. Thanks for coming to Austin Kris.

You can check out Kris's blog to see his latest works.

Just Me

Every two weeks the crew of Powerhouse Animation is asked to submit an artistic entry to the "Luck of the Draw". The theme is ever changing and this time the subject was none other than - well, me! This is me through the eyes of my co-worker Chris Beaver. Thanks to everybody at PHA, and to see the rest of the entries visit their blog here.
